A Veteran of the United States is someone who has served on active duty in the Armed Forces, Public Health Service, National Oceanic and Atmostpheric Administration or Environmental Science Service. The Veteran must have earned any character of discharge other than dishonorable. There are about 18 million Veterans living among us, in every state and territory, and from every walk of life. On Veterans Day, we honor the service and sacrifice of all Veterans – living and deceased.
