Telemedicine

Telemedicine: Primary Care

Optim Primary Care takes a patient focused approach at all times, but we are even more focused on you, our patients, during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak.

We are screening everyone at the front door before they enter the building for signs and symptoms of COVID-19. Most patients will go immediately to an exam room with no wait in the waiting room. Both Primary Clinics in Sylvania are also offering a paging system (restaurant style pager which buzzes and flashes) if there is a wait so patients can wait in their vehicles or newly added outdoor seating instead of the waiting room if they prefer.

We are also offering telemedicine appointments at all our Primary Care clinics which are HIPAA compliant, secure face-to-face video (FaceTime/Skype) appointments with your provider.

TELEMEDICINE

Patients with a telemedicine visit will receive an email with a link to click and a code to enter for a FaceTime/Skype-type face-to-face, interactive appointment with your provider. Please use the Google Chrome web browser for telemedicine via the URL (shown below) or the patient portal. There is also a patient portal app, myHealthspot, that you may download and use.

COVID-19 SYMPTOM EVALUATION

https://telehealth.azaleahealth.com

Patient’s calling in with symptoms consistent with COVID-19 can be evaluated via telemedicine. If you prefer to be seen in person, PLEASE CALL THE OFFICE FIRST so we may be properly prepared as we can now swab a patient for influenza or strep throat and provide treatment right from your car!

If you meet the criteria for COVID-19 testing, you will be referred to a testing center. You will be given a reference number for testing via the Department of Public Health, you must bring this with you to the testing site.
