SYLVANIA, GA (June 14, 2022) – Optim Medical Center-Screven is excited to announce the addition of a new specialty service. Starting June 20th, dermatology services will be available the third Monday of the month in Screven County.
Sidney P. Smith, MD and Karen Penrose, FNP from Georgia Skin & Cancer Clinic will see patients at a satellite clinic at 102 Rocky Ford Road which is located directly across the street from the main Optim Medical Center-Screven campus.
Dr. Smith is a board-certified, fellowship-trained Dermatologist and Ms. Penrose is a Dermatology Certified Nurse Practitioner who focus on medical and surgical dermatology patients from young infants to seniors. Some common conditions they treat include: acne, rosacea, psoriasis, eczema, and various skin growths. They also perform thorough full skin examinations to screen for and monitor precancerous and cancerous skin lesions.
