Over the years the school has continued to add programs to serve the employment needs of the three counties it serves: Bulloch, Evans and Screven. Optim Health System has enjoyed a long relationship with the school. Optim partners with the school to place licensed practical nursing and radiology students for hands-on experience before graduating and offers an excellent pipeline of skilled healthcare professionals.
Evans is a graduate of the University of Georgia and the Medical College of Georgia, with a BSN in Nursing. Prior to accepting the position of CEO of Optim Medical Center-Screven, Evans served as the Chief Nursing Officer of the facility. She began her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the hospital in 1979 before going off to college and coming back home.
