Recognizing the growing need for interventional pain management, Optim Health System recently opened an additional location in Statesboro for this specialty. Now located in the Cotton Ridge Medical Plaza on Fair Road, Optim Pain Management provides cutting-edge solutions to treating back and neck pain. It was previously located on Hwy. 67 South in the same building with Optim Orthopedics and Optim Therapy.
Physicians at Optim Pain Management are Gregory Spellman, MD and Andrew Pandya, MD, both board-certified specialists in anesthesia and pain management.
Interventional pain management utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to provide a full range of services and treatments for patients suffering from acute and/or chronic pain. Minimally invasive techniques are used to properly diagnose and treat painful conditions with the ultimate goal of helping patients return to their everyday activities as soon as possible and without heavy reliance on medications.
“We’re very pleased to add another location in the Statesboro area,” said David Castleberry, CEO of Optim Health System. “Our interventional pain management practice has grown significantly. This new location and its focus on pain management will further strengthen our service capabilities in the area.”
At the same time, the original location on Hwy. 16 South has benefited from a lobby renovation to better serve patients for Optim Orthopedics and Optim Therapy. An additional renovation project is scheduled for later in the year as well.
“The physical therapy department is also experiencing considerable growth,” said Castleberry. “As a result, we’re expanding that department and providing them with a dedicated entrance and separate waiting area. Growth is a good thing and it’s such a pleasure serving this community with the absolute best healthcare options.”
“The continued growth of the health industry in Statesboro and Bulloch County further supports our hub status in this economic segment,” said Phyllis Thompson, President of the Statesboro-Bulloch Chamber of Commerce. “Optim’s expanded footprint evidences its significance and its prominence. Optim is engaged in the local community and a strong supporter of a number of non-profit initiatives, including the mission of the Chamber of Commerce.”
