John Burke, MD

BIOGRAPHY

Dr. John Burke is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in hand and wrist treatments. A Savannah native raised on Wilmington Island, he discovered his passion for orthopedics after sustaining a football injury at Savannah Christian Preparatory School. Dr. Burke earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta.

He completed his orthopedic residency at University of Florida Health Jacksonville, with rotations at Mayo Clinic Florida, where he developed a keen interest in the complex anatomy of the hand and wrist. To further specialize, Dr. Burke completed a fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham/Andrews Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Burke remains passionate about music and athletics.
