A Breakthrough in Pain Relief
If chronic pain is keeping you from doing the things you love, the SPRINT® Peripheral Nerve Stimulation (PNS) System may offer the relief you’ve been searching for—without surgery, drugs, or permanent implants.
What Is the SPRINT PNS System?
The SPRINT PNS System is a 60-day, non-surgical pain treatment designed to deliver long-term relief. A thin, flexible lead is placed near the nerve causing pain and sends gentle electrical pulses to disrupt pain signals and restore balance to your nervous system.
Conditions Treated with SPRINT PNS
SPRINT PNS is used to treat a wide range of acute and chronic pain conditions, including:
- Low back pain
- Knee and shoulder pain
- Post-surgical pain
- Post-amputation nerve pain
- Neuropathic pain
- Head, neck, or facial pain (excluding cranial nerve regions)
How It Works
SPRINT PNS uses tiny electrical pulses to interrupt pain signals sent from the nerve to the brain. Over time, this process is believed to help retrain how the brain perceives pain, potentially leading to lasting relief even after the device is removed.
The SPRINT PNS System Components
- MicroLead™: A tiny, flexible wire (about twice the size of a human hair) placed under the skin near a nerve
- Pulse Generator: A small, battery-powered wearable device
- Hand-Held Remote: Allows you to turn stimulation on/off and adjust intensity
What to Expect During Treatment
Treatment begins with a simple outpatient procedure. A local anesthetic is used to place the MicroLead under your skin, and the generator is secured with a small patch. Most patients return home the same day.
During the 60-day period, you can perform most normal activities. You’ll be asked to:
- Limit strenuous movement near the treatment area for the first week
- Avoid swimming and soaking in water
- Keep the treatment area clean and dry
- Turn the device off while driving
Real Patients. Real Results.
More than 70% of patients in clinical studies reported significant, long-lasting pain relief—even months or years after treatment ended.
Is SPRINT PNS Covered by Insurance?
