The St Joseph’s / Candler Mobile Mammography bus will be at Optim Primary Care in Glennville on Friday, September 27th from 8:30AM – 2:30PM.
Patient Eligibility:
- The American College of Radiology (ACR) recommends that women get annual mammograms at age 40.
- Women aged 35-39 can receive a baseline screening mammogram, but coverage should be confirmed with their insurance provider.
- You should Verify coverage with your insurance provider if you have had a mammogram in the last 12 months.
- You should not currently be pregnant or breastfeeding.
- You should not have implants or any breast issues, such as breast discharge, lumps, pain, or discoloration. If you have any breast-related concerns, please consult your physician promptly.
- All patients must have an active PCP or referring provider they have seen within the last eighteen months.
- Women uninsured or underinsured may qualify for a free mammogram through SJ/C Mobile Mammography and the SJ/C Mammography Fund. For additional information or to apply, please contact the SJ/C Mammography Fund Helpline at 912-819-7055.
