Nominated for her work as one of our Appointment Secretaries, Shawna is an excellent example of our mission and vision at Optim Health System. She is committed to enriching the lives of those she serves with her compassion, integrity and personal purpose. Her dedication to clinical quality and ensuring the patient is always put first is how our interventional pain management practice has had such a positive impact on the Savannah and Vidalia communities and the patients we serve. Her Practice Manager, Rachael Milazzo, says “Shawna is a very dedicated employee; she has the ability to wear multiple “hats” at the same time while keeping the clinic running smoothly. Shawna is always willing to jump in and help her team and the providers; for any last-minute changes to the schedules, she’s right on top of the task. She is an important part of our team and ensures that scheduling runs smoothly and does her best to get the patient in as fast as possible. Shawna is always willing to jump in and help the front desk with any of their needs; she helps make sure check-in and check-out do not get overwhelmed by assisting them during clinic.”

Nominated for her work as a Medical Assistant, Tanya’s Practice Manager, Krissy Miller, says “Since joining the team in August, Tanya has quickly adapted to her role and leveraged her pain management background to enhance workflows and patient care. She brings fresh ideas and best practices from her previous experience, which have helped improve efficiency across multiple offices. Tanya’s ability to fill in at different locations and support various providers demonstrates her flexibility and creative problem-solving skills, ensuring continuity of care and smooth operations.”

Nominated for her work as one of our triage medical assistant at our Savannah Pain Management office, Jackie is praised for her exceptional customer service, innovation and teamwork. Her Practice Manager, Rachael Milazzo, says “Jackie as a quintessential team player. She never hesitates to jump in to help her colleagues either by covering phones or jumping into clinic to help cover other MAs. The other day I texted her to ask her if she could help one of her teammates out and she said, ‘Of course! I love to help keep the office running smoothly.’ She does this every day with a smile on her face.”
