BIOGRAPHY
Mindy Ruiz is a licensed and certified athletic trainer. She is originally from Chickamauga, GA. She attended Andrew College on a softball scholarship and graduated with an associates degree in sports medicine. Upon graduation, she attended Georgia Southern University where she double majored in a bachelor of exercise science and athletic training. Once certified she continued her education and experience in Columbus where she was a part of Hughston Sports Medicine Fellowship program as well as attending Columbus State University for her masters in health and physical education. While working with Hughston she was the full time athletic trainer for Spencer High School. Once she completed grad school she took a job with Meadows Regional Medical center splitting her duties between Dodge County High school and the Telfair County High school but later transferred to Vidalia High School where she spent six seasons before deciding to change settings and join the Optim Sports Medicine team as an assistant athletic trainer for Brewton-Parker College. Mindy is now the head athletic trainer at Bacon County High School.
